An ordinary visit to this site creates no cookie at all. The only cookie it can set is the restricted-area session cookie, which concerns the site owner alone when signing in to the administration panel: a strictly necessary technical cookie. There are no profiling, marketing, social-network or third-party cookies, and no data is shared with other companies.
That is why you will not find the usual consent banner: the law (Art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code, implementing Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, and the Italian DPA's guidelines of 10 June 2021) requires prior consent only for non-technical cookies, which are not used here.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a site saves in your browser. They may be needed to make it work (technical cookies) or used to follow your behaviour over time and across different sites (profiling cookies). Only the latter require your consent.
The cookies this site uses
No cookie while you browse. You can read every page of this site, in Italian or in English, without a single cookie being stored in your browser. The language is no longer remembered anywhere: it is part of the page address itself (for example /galleria for Italian and /en/gallery for English), so there is nothing to remember.
albadmin — restricted-area session. This is the only cookie this site can create. It concerns the site owner alone when signing in to the administration panel, and is never created during an ordinary visit. Duration: the working session.
It is a first-party technical cookie, readable only by this domain and not accessible to scripts.
Statistics without cookies
To know how many people visit the site we use an in-house counter that sets no cookies and relies on no external service such as Google Analytics.
To avoid counting the same visit twice, the IP address and browser type are combined into a non-reversible encrypted code generated with a secret key that changes every day: the code cannot be traced back to the originating IP nor used to link visits made on different days, and only aggregate totals are kept on the server. Automated visitors (search engines and other robots) are excluded from the count.
How to manage or delete cookies
You can delete cookies already stored and prevent new ones from being created from your browser settings, in the section dealing with privacy, cookies or website data.
On this site there is no need: an ordinary visit creates no cookie at all, so blocking them changes nothing and does not limit your browsing in any way. If you were given the old alb_lang language cookie in the past, it is no longer used and you can delete it with no effect.
