The story of Andrea's Lab

Andrea's Lab was born in Noventa Vicentina, Veneto, from a personal passion, curiosity for materials and the desire to turn an idea into something concrete and meaningful. It all started in June 2023, during a forced pause: from the first experiments with metal, a journey made of trials, care, new ideas, personal details and memories to cherish began — leading to laser engraving and the personalization of simple objects to make them unique.

For me, personalizing does not simply mean engraving a name or a date: it means taking an object like many others and making it unique. It means giving value to something, making it recognizable, connecting it to a person, a moment or a memory. A phrase, handwriting, a photograph, a symbol, a fingerprint or a small detail can transform a common object into something that truly belongs to the person who chooses it.

Over time I have worked with different materials — stainless steel, wood, glass, slate, leather and other surfaces, enriching some creations with resin details. Each material requires attention, testing and preparation, because every engraving must adapt to the desired result. Andrea's Lab is this: hands-on work, technology and attention to detail, united by the desire to transform objects and materials into something capable of telling a story.

The story, step by step

The workshop milestones

Every stage of Andrea's Lab was born from a test, from a new material or from an idea to transform into something real.

June 2023

The beginning — the first manual works

It all began with the desire to experiment. The first tests started from simple materials I already had available: aluminum, brass, steel and then stainless steel. From simple experiments came rings, bracelets and small accessories, to better understand the material, the shapes, the finishes and the limits of manual work.

The starting point was the material itself: polishing it, shaping it, joining it, finishing it. Every test taught me something, even when it did not become a finished creation.

May 2024

The turning point — the arrival of the laser

In mid-May 2024, I bought my first laser engraver. At first, the idea was simple: to use the laser to add personalization to the objects I was already creating by hand — names, dates, phrases, symbols, images and details capable of telling something. From the first writings I moved on to drawings, graphics and images transformed into engravings.

One of the first truly meaningful objects was a keychain made for my mother on a military dog tag, where I engraved a sunflower rich in details. That was when I understood the potential of personalization: a simple object can become unique, if connected to a person, a memory or an emotion.

2024 / 2025

The first personalizations

Over time, I understood that what interested me most was not only creating an object from scratch, but making it personal. From here, Andrea's Lab took on its truest form: no longer just working with materials, but personalizing objects capable of telling a memory, a bond, a passion or an important moment.

I have experimented with keychains, pendants, necklaces, bracelets and different surfaces. Each project starts from an idea — a phrase, a date, handwriting, a symbol — and even a handwritten phrase on a sheet of paper can become an engraving, preserving the value of the original handwriting.

2025

The wedding — fingerprints, favors and personal details

An important part of this journey is connected to my wedding. For the wedding rings, I chose to have our fingerprints engraved inside the rings: an intimate detail, almost invisible to others, but full of meaning for us. The engraving was done by the jeweler, but I personally prepared the file with the fingerprints, taking care of that detail from the very beginning.

Also for the wedding, I personalized the wooden favors, engraving them one by one. From here came the desire to explore the world of events: place cards, small engraved details and keepsake objects designed to accompany special moments.

Early 2026

New possibilities — leather, resin and new ideas

At the beginning of 2026, I also introduced resin, continuing to expand materials, techniques and creative possibilities. Leather and resin were added to the work on stainless steel, wood, glass and slate.

Each material requires a different approach and opens different paths: some allow strong contrasts, others more delicate details, while others are ideal for decorative objects or objects connected to personal memories. This continuous research is part of Andrea's Lab identity.

March 2026

The first event — Andrea's Lab meets people

On the last Sunday of March 2026, Andrea's Lab took part in Noventa in Fiore, in Noventa Vicentina, for the first time. It was an important step: it brought the lab out of the space of experiments, placing it in front of people, their questions, their ideas and their stories.

This also strengthened a belief: personalization never starts only from an object, but from the story a person wants to tell through that object.

Today

Andrea's Lab today

Today Andrea's Lab remains a personal creative project, born as a hobby and grown over time through different tests, materials and ideas. I continue to experiment with new techniques and new surfaces, with the goal of making each personalization increasingly carefully crafted, precise and meaningful.

I look to the future with the desire to introduce new processes, more precious materials and more versatile tools, without losing the soul with which everything began: care for details, the desire to learn and the wish to transform ideas and memories into something real. Each creation is born to become more than just a simple object — a memory to keep, give as a gift or carry with you.
